Chemistry Advertising Agency
Graphic Design Internship Experience
Throughout the summer of 2023, I had the privilege of doing my internship with an advertising agency in Pittsburgh called Chemistry. For the ten weeks I was there, I was a creative intern and worked alongside various creative people. My primary account was UPMC Health plan and Chemistry’s quarterly agency newspaper. I was expected to meet all deadlines and produce quality work each time.
My work for UPMC consisted of creating different signage, DM, OOH/Ads, FSI inserts, and concept decks. Despite occasional challenges, such as navigating medical terminology and learning curves in a new workplace, I embraced every opportunity to innovate and create impactful campaigns. This account ultimately became a highlight of my portfolio, showcasing my dedication to delivering exceptional work.

The Chemistry Agency newspaper is a quarterly newspaper that the agency makes to highlight their achievements, awards, work, and announcements. I was tasked with leading this project for the summer and was responsible for all of the graphics, headlines, covers, and layout. I frequently met with people across the agency to gather content and touch base on projects. This project was fulfilling and a playground for creative exploration, allowing me to push boundaries while maintaining brand consistency. It was my chance to step outside the box and create something I had never done before. I took every opportunity to try something new while maintaining brand consistency and a professional look.
